PLENTY OF ADVENTURE THIS HALF TERM
Looking to liven up your half term? Come down to Cornwall and take part in the many exciting activities we have on offer!
Have a need for speed?
Check out the St Eval Kart Circuit, the largest (and fastest!) kart circuit in the Southwest! Whether you want to test your karting skills, race against the kids or really feel the rush on the new Thunderkarts 390cc circuit, St Eval has something for everyone! Toilets, refreshments and free parking are all on site, and there are spectator areas for those not taking part in the racing. Want something more gravity-defying? Try Hangloose at Eden, with their 660m long skywire, cliff swing and 16m climbing wall, as well as the adrenaline-inducing BIG AIR 12m leap and THE DROP 33ft controlled fall! For the less daring, take a trip down to the Eden Project, walk around the biomes and experience the wonders of the rainforest, or sit down for a bite of lunch or cup of tea.
Or perhaps a passion for the outdoors?
Walk across Bodmin Moor with the adorable Moor View Alpacas, as part of the Alpaca Trekking Tours: an hour-long experience with the alpaca of your choice, with plenty of stops for petting and feeding! Suitable for all ages and fitness levels, these tours are sure to create life-long memories! Afterwards, relax with a complimentary cream tea, and browse the alpaca-related gifts and clothing. For those that want to learn more about nature, why take part in a Badger Forest School session in Cardinham Woods: let your children experience the outdoors through games and activities that encourage the appreciation, awareness and knowledge of the natural environment throughout the seasons, using all their senses, learning to respect and care for the environment. Cardinham Woods is also famed for its walking trails, from easy routes for beginners to longer walks that include steep valley climbs and fantastic views. You can even glimpse the past as you discover the old lead and silver mine of Wheal Glynn. For little legs and families with pushchairs, there is an easy access trail where you can take part in a fun activity trail that brings the popular Zog story to life. In addition to the walking trails, there are now a series of new cycling paths through the woods, ranging in difficulty from easy to expert, with some options for mountain bikers as well.
