BIKE RIDING
There are plenty of opportunities for bike riding from Padstow, Wadebridge or Bodmin. The Camel Trail is 18 miles of traffic free cycling and bikes can be hired in Padstow and Wadebridge. As it was an old railway line, the route is nice and flat. If your children prefer something a little more challenging then drive out to Cardinham Woods where they have several bike tracks to choose from including some pretty hard mountain biking routes!

SURFING
Learn to surf with one of our recommended surf schools which operate in and around Padstow. The best surfing beaches are Polzeath, Harlyn, Trevone, Constantine, Treyarnon & Porthcothan. Wavehunters are based on Polzeath beach so if you are heading in that direction or staying nearby then head down to the beach, you cannot miss them! Harlyn Surf School is based right on the beach at Harlyn, next to the car park. Waves Surf School is located on the North Cornwall coast between Newquay and Padstow and they are fortunate to be licensed by Cornwall Council to surf a selection of beaches. Most are within close proximity to the Padstow area – let them find you the best waves on any given day, they will arrange the lessons where the waves are best for you!
