Welcome to this family-run, 5 star Visit England rated, touring park and campsite situated in Porthcothan, within the ‘Seven Bays’ – one of the most beautiful parts of North Cornwall.  They offer grass pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents with electric hook up, or stay in one of the beautiful bell tents in their brand new glamping area or their new sea view apartments.

Set back from the rugged coastline, they have far reaching country views in a very quiet secluded spot, looking down the valley, disturbed only by the sound of their animals. Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep with an uninterrupted panoramic sky, perfect for star gazing.

The nearest beach – Porthcothan, only a 10 minute walk away, is a delightful little bay, great for bathing, surfing and snorkeling.  Sand dunes and rock pools all combine to make it an idyllic place for both families and couples.  MacDonald’s Farm are situated in the best area to explore the North Coast and local hot spots of Padstow and Newquay. They also have a bus stop to take you either way along the coast.

They welcome both families and couples looking for a chilled, relaxing holiday – small groups are allowed but please call to confirm before booking as it is a quiet family-run site.  Sleep under the Cornish stars, eat some of the best local food in the wonderful farm garden, meet the animals, ride a pony or enjoy a drink or two from their Sundowner Bar. Live music events are also held here on a regular basis during the summer months.

Not only is The Point a sought-after destination for active pursuits, it’s also home to a collection of luxury self-catering accommodation on-site. Choose from seven eco-apartments overlooking the golf course, each with sea views, wood burners and two or three bedrooms, or retreat slightly inland to Rock 9 and Rumps 16 – two contemporary cabins set amongst wildflower meadows, both sleeping six.

Local and experienced, our team are on hand with thoughtful recommendations before you arrive and throughout your stay, helping you make the most of your time by the sea.

Every home is fully equipped for a relaxed self-catering break, with most welcoming dogs. Guests also enjoy complimentary access to The Point’s swimming pool and gym, alongside discounted golf tee times.

With sea-view dining, tennis and padel courts all on-site, The Point offers the ease of self-catering with the added benefit of resort facilities on your doorstep.
