The Moorings is set in Padstow’s Old School Court development, this charming 2 bedroom home is just 2 minutes’ stroll from Padstow harbour and its pubs & restaurants. The perfect spot to park up and enjoy Padstow.  Comfort comes first in the lounge, which opens on to the rear patio.  It’s the seaside-inspired finishes make this holiday house a holiday home.  There is a Juliette balcony off the main bedroom.  The sleek newly-fitted kitchen is stocked with an extensive range of kitchen equipment and utensils. The modern bathroom with bath and handheld shower comes with hotel-quality towels and toiletries. There’s an additional small cloakroom with WC and washbasin. There are patios at the front and in the rear courtyard garden. The attractive communal areas have low level lighting in the evening, adding to the ambience.

Valley Caravan Park was established in 1945 by William A Taylor and has continued to be run by the same Cornish family throughout the years. The park boasts a wonderful location in Polzeath, home to one of Cornwall’s premier surfing beaches.  The aim is to make your holiday a happy and memorable occasion, a member of the family or staff will be available to assist you at most times during the day and night.

The Park is situated in a valley leading down to the sea, with the entrance only 200 yards from Polzeath’s sandy beach. They have tried to keep the park as natural as possible, encouraging wildlife – especially mallard ducks, geese, squirrels, rabbits and moorhens.

At the Valley Caravan Park you will find a lounge bar with a six day license with entertainment in high season, a conservatory, and a cafe with seating area and games area.  A casual beach bar just moments from the surf & sand. A watering hole for locals and visitors alike, they strive to provide a sheltered haven in amongst the buzz of Polzeath.  Free wireless is available in the bar and cafe areas, there is a launderette and children’s play area.

Due to the wildlife, DOGS are not permitted on the site (except guide dogs).

THE HOUSE

House on the Hill is a 4 bedroom house which sleeps 12-13 people.

APARTMENTS

There are six duplex apartments situated at the entrance of the park above the ground floor of the main amenities building.  Each apartment has two bathrooms, with 2, 3, and 4 bedroom options available and full central heating across two floors.  There is a separate car park and surf shower to serve the apartments, a nearby play area which also has a communal BBQ hut, and a coin operated launderette situated on the ground floor of the amenity block.  Bed linen and towels are provided within the price. Each apartment is equipped with a travel cot (your own linen will be needed for this), high-chair and stair gates for families with young children.

STATIC CARAVANS

There are over 50 static caravans available for let for holidays, these vary by age, size and by number of bedrooms – 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms.  Caravan prices are determined by the age of the caravan, with the newer models being at the top end of our price range. Every effort is made to ensure that there is a choice of different price bands within different locations across the park, so that you’re more likely to find something that’s specifically suited to you and your family!  It is understood that, although you want to get away, you don’t want to be charged for the comforts you’d usually take for granted at home. This is why they do not charge you more for a 12ft wide 2 or 3 bedroom caravan – this is their standard width!  Free Wi-Fi is provided in the Bar & Cafe area throughout the day. There are no hidden extras!  Duvets and pillows are provided, but you will need to bring your own linen and towels.

TOURING & CAMPING

The main camping field stretches over one side of the park, separated from the rest of the park by the river that runs through the valley and surrounded on the other side by acres of woodland.  There are two toilet/shower blocks at either end of the camping field. Please see the shower and toilet block page for more details.  There are a variety of pitch sizes available, with or without electric hook up. There are an extremely limited number of hard standing pitches.

Please Note – Dimensions of tents, caravans, awnings etc are required on the booking form. This information is a requirement of your booking. This information ensures that there is no over-crowding and that pitch boundaries are respected, giving all of customers the space they need to enjoy their holiday.

You are advised to book well in advance for summer school holidays, as the popularity of Polzeath brings the site to full capacity.  The staff will always try their best to accommodate you!

Please note groups are not accepted and only guide dogs are allowed on site.

Samphire is a quaint, self contained bolt hole in the conservation area of Padstow, just a short stroll to the harbour, shops and restaurants.  Samphire is set within a family home but has the advantage of having it’s own entrance.

The Samphire Room is very cosy with a King size oak bed and very comfortable sprung mattress.  There is an en-suite bathroom with a full size bath and separate shower enclosure.

Although there is not a formal breakfast on offer, Samphire has it’s own complimentary breakfast cupboard and fridge fully stocked with cereals, bread, preserves, butter and fresh milk. Also offering free Wi-Fi, complimentary toiletries, generous tea and coffee making facilities, toaster, egg poacher and all necessary cutlery, crockery and glassware.

There is small breakfast area within the room to enjoy breakfast or snacks and a wall mounted TV.

Ideal for exploring Padstow and the 7 Bays.

PEARL COTTAGE

Nestled in Padstow’s historic heart, only moments from the harbour, this quaint, three-storey cottage has been lovingly updated, whilst retaining a traditional and welcoming feel.  Surrounded by fishermen’s cottages and old merchant houses, Pearl Cottage peeps over the town’s rooftops down to the harbour below.  With stylish two bedroom accommodation providing everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Entering into the hallway, you are immediately taken with Pearls character interior.  With plenty of space for coats and boots as well as a conveniently located washing machine and tumble dryer (perfect for the towels as you come off the beach) the hallway has a charming coastal feel.  Off to the left is the twin bedroom which has a pretty window seat with a view onto the quiet street below. Up the first winding flight of stairs is the master bedroom which has lovely wooden floors and deep-set sash windows, enhancing the cottage atmosphere and providing a safe haven on stormy nights.  A family bathroom is just next door with a fully tiled interior, perfect for washing off the sand and salt after a day on the water.  Head up another flight of winding stairs is the living area, and you emerge into a light filled space that feels as if you are entering the prow of a ship.  With the large windows providing beautiful views across the old town, you really get a bird’s eye view from here.  With a contemporary kitchen and comfortable seating, this area is a lovely space to relax and unwind far above the hustle and bustle of the town below.

Padstow sits at the mouth of The Camel Estuary, a wide tidal river valley which historically provided shelter for the fishing fleets that sailed out of its harbour.  Nowadays this stretch of water is mainly used by water sports enthusiasts, with sailing clubs, SUP riders and Kayakers all enjoying the waterway and the beaches that surround it.  The Southwest Coast Path leads south from Padstow along the cliffs, a perfect way to enjoy the dramatic coastline on foot, whatever the weather.  If you are looking for a less challenging stroll, the Camel Trail follows the estuary towards Wadebridge, hire bikes and enjoy it on two wheels, or wander along enjoying the coves and inlets along the way.

Once you have worked up an appetite, the town has a long list of places to quiet the rumbling tum.  As well as several famed fine dining offerings, there are options for every palette, and let’s be honest, it wouldn’t be a seaside holiday at all without fish and chips on the harbour.  Numerous foodie events throughout the year bring the town alive with celebrated chefs, don’t be surprised who you might bump into in one of the towns many watering holes!
