Cowries is a beautifully presented three-bedroom holiday home located in the heart of St Merryn village near to Padstow on Cornwall’s stunning north coast.  This modern, spacious and dog-friendly property offers stylish self-catering accommodation for up to six guests, with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Finished to a high standard, Cowries features a bright lounge, contemporary kitchen-diner and comfortable bedrooms, along with an enclosed garden and patio area ideal for families and outdoor relaxation.  It’s central village location means pubs, shops, takeaways and excellent restaurants are all within easy walking distance.

Situated in the heart of St Merryn’s famous ‘Seven Bays’ area, offering a different beach for every day of the week, Cowries provides the perfect base for exploring North Cornwall, with Padstow just a short drive away and easy access to spectacular coastal scenery.

Padstow Cottage Company hires out privately owned, beautifully decorated, self catering holiday accommodation in the historic harbour town of Padstow on the North Cornwall coast.

The Cottages are available throughout the year and can be booked by the week. In the winter season 3 and 4 night breaks are available, please check website for availability and prices.

All cottages are assessed and graded by Quality in Tourism every year for Visit England they range from 3 Star to 5 Star Gold Award.

Padstow is a quaint fishing village surrounding a working harbour.  You can find plenty of independent shops, fine restaurants, cafes, a museum, the Lobster Hatchery, Prideaux Place and many other amazing attractions.

The Old Ship Hotel is an historic Grade II listed building in the heart of Padstow and each one of the spacious bedrooms has its own unique character. There is a choice of single, twin, double and family rooms; two have wonderful four poster beds and some have views over Padstow’s famous estuary.  All have en-suite bathrooms, hot drinks facilities, Sky television, wifi and secure safes.

Situated just a stone’s throw from Padstow harbour, it is also just a 10 minute walk to the nearest beach, the start of the Southwest Coast Path, the Padstow to Rock Ferry and The Camel Trail.

Guests are served breakfast in a private dining room, choosing from a wide selection that includes full English breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, kippers and vegetarian options.  As with the lunch and dinner menus, they use local produce wherever possible in the breakfast dishes.  The Old Ship Hotel is fully licensed with a separate restaurant, public bar and a lovely outside patio area perfect for al fresco dining and socialising.

There is plenty of off-street parking for guests in the private car park behind the hotel. The Old Ship is pet friendly, although they request that dogs are not left unattended in the rooms.

Originally the Headmasters home, this gorgeous Victorian house has 3 spacious rooms with sea views and the advantages of sunny patios to both front and rear. The property combines many original Victorian features with today’s modern standards and enjoys an elevated position just a short walk from Padstow Harbour.

Accommodation comprised of ground floor entrance hall, wc, large sitting room, large kitchen/breakfast room, stairs to first floor and three bedrooms: one double bedroom with en-suite shower/wc, two twin bedrooms plus family bathroom/wc.
