The Moorings is set in Padstow’s Old School Court development, this charming 2 bedroom home is just 2 minutes’ stroll from Padstow harbour and its pubs & restaurants. The perfect spot to park up and enjoy Padstow.  Comfort comes first in the lounge, which opens on to the rear patio.  It’s the seaside-inspired finishes make this holiday house a holiday home.  There is a Juliette balcony off the main bedroom.  The sleek newly-fitted kitchen is stocked with an extensive range of kitchen equipment and utensils. The modern bathroom with bath and handheld shower comes with hotel-quality towels and toiletries. There’s an additional small cloakroom with WC and washbasin. There are patios at the front and in the rear courtyard garden. The attractive communal areas have low level lighting in the evening, adding to the ambience.

You’ll want for nothing in Timbers, a truly special holiday home from home in Little Petherick.  Beautifully furnished to a high standard throughout, with numerous delightful maritime-themed design touches. The open plan sitting room has a Cornish stone fireplace, a wonderful focal point for relaxing evenings, while older kids can commandeer the upstairs lounge for themselves. Each of the three comfortable bedrooms is thoughtfully finished off with clever seaside-themed touches and high-quality bed linen. The large newly-fitted kitchen with extensive kitchen equipment and utensils has a dining area that opens onto a decked terrace overlooking a stream and fields beyond.  Both the main bathroom and en suite shower room are finished with modern fixtures and fittings.  Each is stocked with lovely fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. Timbers benefits from a wonderful tranquil setting overlooking a small stream and fields. There’s a decked terrace area complete with table, chairs and a BBQ.

Little Petherick is a quiant hamlet just a short drive from Padstow or if you want to venture out without the car, there is a bus stop just out on the main road.  The number 57 bus goes between Padstow and Bodmin Parkway (the main line train station) via the beautiful market town of Wadebridge.  Timbers is ideal for those wanting a totally luxurious holiday away from the hustle and bustle but not too far that you can’t dabble at times!  There are some fabulous walks from the property, one of which is the famous Saint’s Way.  There is also a lovely circular walk around Little Petherick Creek which can include a short excursion along The Camel Trail into Padstow.  The Camel Trail is an old disused rail track which is now very popular with walkers and cyclists.  It stretches 18 miles from Padstow to Wenfordbridge on the edge of Bodmin Moor passing through Wadebridge and the fantastic Camel Valley Vineyard.

The large, newly fitted oak kitchen means dinner time is a breeze, stocked as it is with an extensive range of kitchen equipment and utensils. The natural stone-tiled bathroom benefits from both a freestanding bathtub for long, lazy soaks, and a proper quality shower in a separate cubicle. Be sure to make the most of the ivy clad outdoor patio area and BBQ for Al Fresco dining with distant views over the estuary – it’s a lovely little sheltered spot.

2 DENNIS COVE

Located at the end of a secluded lane just on the outskirts of Padstow’s bustling and picturesque harbour. A traditional stone and slate 3-storey town house, it has 3 bedrooms sleeping 5/6 and is fully equipped for children of all ages. There are stunning sea & estuary views from lounge and master bedroom windows and only a 10 minute estuary-side walk along the Camel Trail (North Coast Path) to the harbour. Family owned & run to a very high standard. Well behaved, house-trained dogs are always welcome ( apologies but they do not accept young puppies or bitches in-season).

Furnished & maintained to a very high standard throughout, it has leather recliner soft furnishings, quality beds, LED TV, Blu-ray DVD, Sound bar, Wifi & PS3 games and free, unlimited fast-fibre Broadband. There is also a log burner for the cooler months (seasoned logs & kindling supplied).

Outside there is ample parking for 2 cars within a private, gated courtyard and the garage is available for secure storage of surf gear, bikes & buggies etc. The sun-trap rear garden is fully enclosed and secure for children & pets. Part lawn, it has a paved patio equipped with furniture, charcoal BBQ and has an electrically powered sun-awning.

Padstow has a large range of pubs, restaurants, eateries, takeaways & shops as well as a beach, pleasure boats & fishing trips and passenger ferry to Rock. There are 7 sandy bathing & surfing beaches within a short drive, most are life-guarded and dog friendly.

Prices start from £425 per week, short breaks are available from £300.
