The Atlantic Coast Express, ACE is the only catering business operating on the Camel Trail between Padstow and Wadebridge. Operating as Treats On Trikes for several years, there is no stopping Kelly & Dougal its founders. They are now bringing even more magic to the area and some Camel Trail history back to the old train line which ran from Waterloo to Padstow. ACE their first class buffet car is bursting with yummy delights!
New for this coming season The Cornish Crepe Company has moved in, Kellys successful business from Padstow harbour. So now not only can you get a great coffee and a morning bake, you can fill your boots with sweet or savoury crepes, homemade soups and for the return journey indulge in a Treleavens ice cream or a healthy smoothie.
All are served on the edge of The Camel Estuary with breathtaking distant views to Padstow, why wouldn’t you want to stop there and treat yourselves? The birdwatching is something else around low tide.
The latest news coming from ACE is all about ’Sunset Supper Clubs’. They are being created by two wonderful chefs whom have a wealth of culinary experience from Rick Steins, The Savoy and the Eden Project. Don’t miss out, limited space! Dates and ticket information to be announced soon!
We can be found at Penquean Quarry, a handy stopping place midway between Padstow and Wadebridge. We trade daily from 10 – 5.30 between Easter and October.
