Prawn on the Lawn is a fully licensed fishmonger and restaurant situated in Duke Street, near to Padstow’s buzzing quayside. Opened in July 2015 by Rick Toogood and his wife Katie – following on from the success of their London branch – they serve only the freshest seafood and tapas-style fish dishes, offering a different style of eating to the other restaurants in town. Prawn on the Lawn’s mouth-watering plates include seared tuna, marinated scallops, szechuan prawns as well as larger platters such as local Padstow crab and lobster and their famous Fruits De Mer. They also have a fantastic array of fresh seafood for you to take home and cook yourself, sourced directly from day boats and fish markets in Padstow and the rest of Cornwall. They make every effort to be as seasonal and sustainable as possible and the menu changes every day so there will always be something different to try during your stay!
Their summer alter-ego “Prawn on the Farm” is usually open at Trerethern Farm just outside Padstow
