WADEBRIDGE MUSEUM

WADEBRIDGE AND DISTRICT MUSEUM

Wadebridge and District Museum originally opened in 2007 and attracted some 2000 visitors before its premises were closed in 2010 for redevelopment of the site.
Thanks to the generosity of the developer of Trebur House, they re-opened at the present
location in September 2013.
The museum tells the story of how Wadebridge grew from Wade, the place where you could
ford the River Camel, via the building of its iconic Bridge, to a flourishing inland port and market town, one terminus of the first railway in southern England.

They have a collection of pictures of old Wadebridge and many artefacts, some of which, like
the Cornish range, were manufactured in the town. There are also permanent displays about the Railway and the Bridge, plus a timeline of Wadebridge events.
